Terms of Use

Last updated: September 24, 2026

LiveKit is a media toolbox for converting, capturing, setting covers, muting, collaging, and creating GIFs from videos and Live Photos. Features may vary by version and Pro status.

These Terms of Use govern your use of the LiveKit iOS application. By downloading or using LiveKit, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use LiveKit on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store terms and these Terms.

2. Accounts and Apple ID

You do not need a LiveKit account. Purchases and subscriptions use your Apple ID and are subject to Apple’s terms.

3. Pro subscriptions and purchases

LiveKit may offer free features and optional paid Pro plans (for example monthly, yearly, or lifetime). Paid plans are billed through Apple:

4. Photo Library access

Certain features require access to your Photo Library. You are responsible for the media you select and for complying with applicable laws and third-party rights when editing, exporting, or sharing content.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Intellectual property

LiveKit, including its design, code, trademarks, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the app to you. You retain rights to your own media.

7. Third-party services

The app relies on Apple platforms (Photos, StoreKit, share sheet, and related system services). Your use of those services is also governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policies.

8. Disclaimer

LiveKit is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that exports will meet every device or format expectation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Pro features in the 12 months before the claim or (b) zero if you only used free features—except where liability cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop providing the app or change features. Provisions that should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations) will survive termination.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms for LiveKit can be sent through the App Store product page support link or the contact method listed with the developer account that publishes LiveKit.
